When you click on a .pdf link in this web site, a new, blank page will open. At that time, it may seem like nothing is happening. Depending on your computer and how it is configured, its operating system, etc., one of sever things may occur / be occurring:

  • on newer browser versions with .pdf plugins, the .pdf file will load right into the browser window. Be patient, this may take a minute or so depending on the file size and your internet connection speed.
  • the .pdf document will automatically download to your hard drive into a folder that you, the user, have specified
  • you may get a pop-up message that says your browser doesn't know how to handle this file type. Just click on the "Save File As" option and it will save to your selected location just like any other file.
  • or - PC users (non-macintosh) may need to right-click on the link to choose a specific download location. if you do not you may find that the file goes into a temporary folder within your browser's world.

Portable Document Format - it allows the transfer of documents irrespective of platform. All you need to have is Adobe Reader installed and you can open the document !   Most computers have this installed, but if necessary, you can get it free from Adobe at: adobe.com/support/downloads/main.html
